Dr. Anthony R. Mork, a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of the Pacific, where he earned his B.S. degree in chemistry. He earned his M.D. degree from Creighton Medical School, Omaha, Nebraska. His residency training in Orthopedic Surgery was conducted at the Martin Luther King, Jr. General Hospital in Los Angeles, California which was in association with the University of Southern California..

Prior to Co-Founding MicroSpine, Dr. Mork was in private practice from 1982 to 1988 in Long Beach, California. Dr. Mork was also a clinical instructor with USC from 1982 to 1984. From 1988 to 1998 he was affiliated with The Wiltse Spine Institute of Long Beach, California. From 1988 until 2001, Dr. Mork worked at G.C.O.C. Spinal Institute in Florida. Dr. Mork has personally performed thousands of arthroscopic spinal surgeries and has been a proctor to several other physicians. He has personally designed the specialized tools which he uses for his surgeries and he is constantly pursuing the improvement of spinal care.

Dr. Mork has had numerous articles relating to Orthopedic Surgery published in Leading Peer Review Professional Journals. In addition, Dr. Mork has experienced extended education worldwide at such leading institutions as Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, England; Newmarket General Hospital, Newmarket, Suffolk, England; and Endo-Klink, Hamburg, West Germany.
